Nii Kwartei Kojo Owoo
Mr Nii Kwartei Kojo Owoo is an astute businessman with over a decade's prior work experience in Banking. Prior to Banking, while a student at the University of Ghana, he owned and managed a number of businesses in the areas of general merchandise, transport, laundry services etc. His banking career spanned Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, and Loan Recoveries. As Relationship Manager, he procured and managed some notable national accounts such as COVID -19 National Trust Fund and National Cathedral Account. He also helped secure funding for major logistical supplies to the various National Security Services (Ghana Army, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Revenue Authority and Ghana Police service). He also served as interim National Chairman of the GCB Bank employees union between 2015 and 2016. Mr Owoo holds qualifications in both Economics and Law. He holds a B.A (Hons) Economics from the University of Ghana, an LL. B (Hons) from the University of London and a Master of Laws degree (LL.M, Merit) from the University of South Wales. Additionally, he has passed the Solicitors qualification exams for England and Wales. Furthermore, he holds a certificate in Managing Risk in Project Finance from Ghana Banking College and certificates in the Ghana Stock Exchange courses. Amongst his notable Academic achievement awards are: Best student in Trust Law (University of London). He also obtained an award for achieving one of the highest marks in the Global category of Contract and Criminal law (University of London). While studying at the University of South Wales, he went to obtain a high distinction in Advanced Corporate and Business Law and Solicitors Accounts Rules. Amongst other things he specialized in Commercial Property Law for his LL.M He is innovative and spurs his team on attaining returns on shareholder investments. He brings an exciting energy to the role.
